The Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival is coming back to Red Deer this April. It’s a chance to sip, swirl and sample an array of wine, beers, premium spirits and gourmet food.
This year’s Festival boasts a huge sampling of wine from over a dozen countries. There's also beer, scotch, liqueurs and other premium products. Be sure to arrive hungry, as Red Deer and area restaurants will tempt with samples of gourmet food, ranging from appetizers to mini-main dishes to desserts.

The festival starts with Artists-About-Town. During the week visual artists will be working their skills in the most unlikely places. Other events include the Artwalk Amble bus tour on Thursday and the Film Night on Friday. Saturday, the 21st is a fun-filled day of visual art demonstrations, Art Market and live music in a full festival setting. Bring the whole family and take home some art!

Red Deer's Westerner Days takes place in July for five days; the fair kicks off annually with the Westerner Days Parade early in the morning on the first day. Plenty of excitement and entertainment follows throughout the fair including midway rides, concerts, agriculture pavilions, chuckwagon races, a creative arts centre, a casino, children's exhibits and more.

Billing itself as Red Deer's most outrageous festival, Centre Fest brings street performers from India, Japan, New Zealand, the US and Canada to Red Deer to perform spontaneous street theatre. Performances are appropriate for the entire family and include comedians, jugglers, stilt-walkers, face-painters and more. Visitors can buy handmade arts and crafts along Artisan Avenue.
